Five stars. Finding a place for your elderly parent is not easy. It’s emotionally tumultuous, stressful, and confusing. The combined nursing background and expertise in not only elder placement, but the local greater Portland metro area took the burden off my shoulders and was much appreciated. It was super helpful to have Raisa and Jackie on my side.

Raisa and Jackie were so helpful last year as we struggled to find care and living space for my mom and dad. We learned, as so many do, that the healthcare system is not much help with what happens after an elderly patient leaves the hospital. My 89-year-old mom had dementia and had many physical needs and had been in the hospital for far too long. Family Values arranged tours of adult family care homes, assisted/independent living facilities, and memory care. They were sympathetic to what my dad was going through as well as being super knowledgeable about the system. Family Values helped us find an independent living facility for my dad that also had a memory care unit.for my mom. My dad was able to visit my mom every day by simply taking an elevator and walking to the memory care unit. Mom passed away a few months later, and shortly after that my dad, 91, fell and hit his head. He was in the hospital for over two weeks. He needed serious rehabilitation and we wanted to avoid sending him through the hospital’s rehab program—of which we had not heard good things. Raisa and Jackie found us an incredible adult family home. The staff was highly trained, were attentive to my father’s needs and provided intensive physical therapy. He is pretty much back to his old self and will be moving back to independent living within a few weeks. My family is so grateful for Raissa and Jackie. This was an incredibly stressful time for us, but Family Values helped to ease the burden. We would not hesitate to use them again.

Jackie has placed two unrelated members of my family in the past few months. I have found her to be exceptionally knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring. She is extremely service oriented – grounded in a deep commitment to finding the very best care of her clients and their families. She goes above and beyond in her support, matching needs with service providers, as well as providing follow-ups after placement. When Jackie first started working with us, she took a lot of time to get to know us – understanding the help that we needed, as well as personalities and interests. Previously we had kept our family members at home and could no longer continue this. We only had experience with large, corporate nursing homes. But Jackie took a lot of time to educate us about our options, including Adult Family Homes and helped us compare the choices. She helped us work with the hospital. Then she arranged for us to tour a number of care facilities. As we made a selection, Jackie assisted us in negotiating the cost and plan of care. She even took our calls/texts on the weekends! Throughout this process, Jackie demonstrated an extensive knowledge of each care provider/owner personally--their staff, services, history, and facilities. For several months after placement, Jackie has done follow-ups, checking in on our loved ones. She continues to provide support for both the client and their family, as well as the care provider. Jackie also continues to help with problem solving anytime it is needed. Jackie is dedicated to exceptional care and compassion for her clients. With her extensive knowledge and commitment, I highly recommend her services.

I HIGHLY recommend Raisa and Jacki for anyone needing assistance with placing their loved one in a care facility. I called them in a panic, needing to place my parents in a new facility with a VERY short timeline. They arranged for me to tour facilities that fit in our family budget that very same day. We found a magnificent spot for both of them, which could have proved difficult due to their varying progressions with dementia. They were moved in less than a week later. I am so grateful for both of them. They made a stressful and overwhelming situation manageable and I cannot thank them enough!

We are so grateful we got to meet and work with Raisa. Just when we were feeling totally lost and helpless she called us and guided us through the final steps of the discharge process to place my mom in a new forever home. When we were scared and untrusting of everyone in this process Raisa turned it all around. She treated our family like her family and helped us make the best decision for my mother. At the end of the day we found a happier, brighter, healthier place for my mom to rest and be taken care of far better than we could have done our self. I worked with Jackie from Senior Care with Family Values to find an assisted living facility for my mom. The circumstances surrounding this situation were very high stress and time sensitive. Jackie navigated finding the perfect home for my mom with grace, patience, and expertise. She took the time to get to know my mom and what was important to her, narrowed down the homes that might be a good fit, and then accompanied me to each home. Having her with me on the site visits ensured that the right questions were asked, and that I took note of the different features each home offered (and didn't offer). My mom has been in the assisted living facility for two months now, and her medical conditions have improved - I believe this is, at least in part, because we found the right place for her to live. One week ago I was desperate to find help for my aging parents. My father has been in post-hospital care at another facility but were given two days notice that he was being discharged. From the moment we connected they took amazing care and as a result of their intervention, we have been able to navigate all of the challenges with adult placement and have moved my dad into a great home! Raisa worked tirelessly to find a perfect fit for my mom to go into adult foster care. She answered text messages and phone calls in a very timely manner, even at times when she should be spending time with her family. This was a very stressful time for my mother and I. She gracefully helped us through every step needed to seamlessly find my mom the perfect home!! It has been one week today that my mom has been in her new place. She is so very well cared for now!!! These gals are incredible! My daughters and I were at a complete loss as to how to best help my wife find the best care. Jackie and Raisa took care of everything! Jackie and Raissa literally saved my Dad. He had a traumatic injury and could not return home. We felt lost and alone and helpless in where he would go. Jackie and Raissa knew EXACTLY what he needed. My husband and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Family Values! We called in the evening and were in panic mode. Raisa reassured us that they would take care of everything. The next day they were at the hospital where my mother-in-law was, it was so comforting to see Jackie and Raisa. They did all the calling and all the coordinating for everything, and we immediately started viewing family homes the next day. We placed my mother-in-law the next day into a wonderful home. When our elderly loved one caught COVID it was immeasurably stressful. Everyone was looking to our family for answers and we had none. A nurse at the hospital recommended the team at Family Values for information and help making a plan. Well one conversation with them and all our worries melted away. They knew all the ins and outs of caring for seniors, Covid, dementia literally everything. They found at home care givers till we could narrow down a permanent long term care option, we ended up picking and Adult Care Home. After she moved they found a house keeper, a handy man to make repairs, a gardener to tame the jungle and a real estate agent who gave us heavily discount fees and sold the home. Our neighborhood has a little lady that is elderly with no family around. We would try to help out but it was obvious that she needed more help than we could provide. We gave Family Values a call. They came out and assessed care needs and set her up with multiple different supportive services that allowed her to safely stay in her home. They check in from time to time to make sure everything is ok and to see if any changes need to be made to her care plan. These ladies have helped her fulfill her wishes of aging in place and the neighborhood can't show our appreciation for their free services enough God bless.

When a loved one in our family had a stroke and needed to be put on a ventilator for respiratory therapies. Our neighbor worked at Legacy hospital and we asked them who to ask for help. We were told that the Family Values Team was the # 1 senior care service used by hospital staff for their own family members. Raisa and Jackie took us through our options while showing us each individual setting. They helped arrange for a nurse assessment, medical equipment, supportive services and even told us where and how to apply for Medicaid (ventilator care is very expensive and our family qualified for it within a few months.) We are extremely happy with the Skilled Adult Care home they found for us with round the clock nursing care. These ladies are nothing short of amazing thank you.

This is the third time I have reached out to Family Values for help with placement. After my sister we had need of care for my FIL, who is a veteran and suffers from advanced dementia. They were able to keep him in the hospital while they did the search and located the best place for care. He is still there 3 years later and receives amazing care. Now we are looking for a place for my MIL. She came out of rehab and they had recommended a different service so I made the mistake of using them. Never again! I don’t know what I was thinking. If I need their help again I will ONLY use Family Values. No one even compares! Raisa helped me find an ADH for my sister in a weekend. It was a stressful time and her professional attitude and positive spirit was so encouraging. I don’t know what I would have done without her help. We are using her again for another family at this time.
